Who is a Lead Teacher?

Only the most engaged educators are hand-picked by us to mentor other teachers about how to make the most of Prodigy in their classrooms.

You don't need to be a teacher, necessarily. You could also be a tutor, teacher’s aid, Vice Principal, or administrative staff member too.

Joining the ranks of Lead Teacher is a badge you can wear with pride, plus you can use your digital badge to let other educators know you’re a skilled expert in all things Prodigy.

Why join?

You know the impact Prodigy has in your own class, now’s your chance to take an active role in helping even more students reach their full potential while enjoying a few perks yourself.

plus iconplus sign iconminus sign icon

As a Lead Teacher, you are a key driver of peer learning around Prodigy usage, and our social channels - particularly our Facebook Teacher Community - are important spaces for you to share best practices, tips, and engage with fellow teachers. We hope you will feel compelled to participate in these channels, but social media engagement is not a requirement to be a Lead Teacher. If you are not active on social media, please let us know and we can work with you to find other ways you can be a Prodigy advocate within your school or district. Periodically, we may ask Lead Teachers to interact more on our social channels, but the core of your role is to champion Prodigy usage and support other teachers in whatever ways work best for you.

This includes providing your contact information and answering a few questions about yourself. After you complete the registration, you'll receive instructions on the next steps for your onboarding. This includes: attending a brief orientation training session, visiting our Prodigy Teacher Facebook Community, and getting started with sharing Prodigy at your school and helping other teachers set up new accounts

Can a co-worker and I share this responsibility?
plus iconplus sign iconminus sign icon

Absolutely! More Prodigy Lead Teachers means more students discovering a love of learning. If you want to share responsibilities with another educator please let your dedicated Prodigy support team member know so we can include you both in our communications and event invites.

How long will this commitment last? Do I have to sign up again next year?
plus iconplus sign iconminus sign icon

You do not have to sign up again each year. Every year we will recognize our veteran Prodigy Lead Teachers, and those with ongoing engagement can progress to larger partnership opportunities such as speaking events at conferences, school visits from Prodigy Game Designers, and larger school grant packages.

I’m not interested, but I know someone who is. Can I refer them?
plus iconplus sign iconminus sign icon

Yes you can! Please share this page with any educators that you know have a passion for Prodigy.
